The aim of the European Agricultural AD Helpdesk network is to provide a platform reserved for consultation and advice for all questions concerning the operation of agricultural biogas plants.
The operational support will give advice on the investment preparation and eventual cost-benefit analyses of operating a biogas plant.

In addition, technical support will be given on issues concerning the digestion of energy crops or lignocelluloses in combination with other substrates.

This Helpdesk has been created compiling all the components of the AD Helpdesk system and is the result of compilation of the various resources produced in the AGROBIOGAS Project:
  • Anaerobic Simulation Model
  • Investment Decision Tool
  • National legislative and technical national's framework
  • Operational Guidelines
  • Recommendations for AD sludge utilisation as a biofertiliser
The strength of the helpdesk is its European dimension due to the various kinds of experts and the number of experts participating in the project from across the EU.




The main objectives of the helpdesk are the following:
  • Provide possible solutions to operating problems affecting the biogas plants or help to identify the cause of such problems

  • Provide information on operating procedures to improve the biogas yield of a plant

  • Provide consulting services to users for improvement of systems purchasing new equipment

  • Provide information to users who want to implement an AD plant in their facilities, and help to estimate the economical-technical feasibility of the system given the substrates available.
This helpdesk is able to provide you withan evaluation of technical,economical and legislative information on operationg an AD plant for certain European countries: Belgium, Spain, Germany, Slovakia, Greece, Italy, France, and Denmark.
